Mad River Canoes: Synergy

Designers Jim Henry and Tom Foster have given the Synergy, successor to the venerable ME, an asymmetrical, rounded V hull with 5.25" of bow and stern rocker, flared ends, and a maximum width of 31". The raindrop footprint gives the Synergy quick acceleration in upstream maneuvers.

The Synergy sets a new standard for contemporary tandem whitewater playhoat design. An honest boat that's a hoot to paddle, the Synergy is maneuverable, fast, and responsive. It carves rather than skids, holds ferry lines, surfs waves, and feels solid when leaned to the gunwale.
