Mad River Canoes: Sunrunner
Mad River Canoes: Sunrunner photo
With 1.75" of rocker, the Sunrunner is agile enough to handle twisty backwater streams or explore coastal marshes. Hull design is a softened shallow V in the end quarters flowing toward a shallow arch in the midsection, giving the boat good initial stability and high secondary stability. The full ends provide plenty of buoyancy for seaworthiness in open lakes and the sheer line has been designed to minimize the effects of wind. Choose from three hull constructions.

Sunrunner

Offering greater speed and carrying capacity than the Malecite, this 17 foot performance touring canoe is a joy to handle on everything from glassy lakes through Class II rivers. The Sunrunner reflects the highly successful modified cruiser concept of the Independence and Liberty designs. Its hull design allows for enhanced cruising speeds with minimal paddler effort, making the Mad River Sunrunner a solid choice for casual cruising or week long adventures.
