Mad River Canoes: Malecite
mad river canoes: malecite photo
To minimize the effects of wind, the Malecite's profile is kept low at both ends. The flared bow allows the canoe to rise over waves rather than dive through them, and the buoyant stern handles mixed water conditions with ease for excellent hull maneuverability The Malecite is available in three composite hull constructions.

Malecite

The Mad River Malecite is a true classic. Today's version of the original Mad River Canoe is ideal for two-person day use or for short camping trips. Outfitted with the optional center seat, it doubles as an efficient and responsive solo canoe. The easy paddling shallow V hull offers exceptional secondary stability while maintaining the trademark speed and tracking characteristics of a Mad River.
