Mad River Canoes: Guide / Kevlar and Royalex
Mad River Canoes: Guide photo
The hull has a softened V in the center and carries its slightly rockered keel until 2.5 - 3' from the stems where the ends rocker quickly to 5.4". The Mad River Guide has the maneuverability necessary for river running and the hull speed required for crossing lakes. Available in both Royalex and Kevlar brand fiber versions.

Guide

Flatwater cruising, wilderness tripping, and whitewater play-they all demand different and seemingly incompatible performance characteristics in a canoe, but Jim Henry has given the Guide the ability to do it all. It travels fast, carries lots of gear, turns easily and accommodates paddlers of all sizes. Paddlers will appreciate the nice balance of initial and secondary stability in this performance solo boat on whitewater rivers or large, exposed lakes.
